Gorjuss in the rain

Hello!

Up here in northern Sweden the weather has treated a little bit of this and a little bit of that - sun, heat, rain, cold, hail and thunder...

So lately I haven't been too inspired to do a lovely summer card. I decided to stick to the rain, otherwise it might get too messy to try to bring all the weather together at once. At least rain has some connection to summer compared to hail.

stamp - Gorjuss
cardstock - silky white, texture white and bling in silver
DP - from stash
roses - wild orchid
crisp ribbon - live & love crafts
organza
bling
pearls

She is coloured with Distress Markers (black soot, broken china, victorian velvet, antique linen and pumice stone).

Challenges:
TotallyGorjuss - pearls #142
ThePoodlesParlour - anything goes
SimonSays - anything goes

Hope you've been inspired!

A box filled with...

Hello!

I went through my pictures of made stuff and found something I haven't published. It's a box - very easy to make - in which I filled up with some treat for the hostess at a tea party. She really appreciated it.

Design paper - think it could be from Riddersholm design, but I'm not sure
Punch - Martha Stewart
Brads
Ribbon
Stickles
And of course cardstock for the bottom

1. Make the chest (a box but without the lid) out of a square for the bottom. You can choose which size you want.
2. Score about 2-3 cm from the edge into the paper on every side.
3. Cut among some scored lines so that you are able to fold and fold up the edges so it looks like a chest. Glue or use double sided tape so that they stick together.
4. Take your DP and cut it so you have a stripe of 15-20 cm wide paper (depends on how high you want your box to be).
Note! Cardstock/DP are in size 12x12 inches (30,5x30,5 cm) and because of that you might want your chest to have a circuit of maximum 12 inches (30,5 cm) to be able to avoid seams.
5. The decoration is then up to you!

Hope you've found some inspiration!

Distress Markers from Tim Holtz and Ranger - Red hair

Hello!
As I said in my earlier post, I would come back and tell you about my progress coloring red hair.

Here's the result.

scattered straw - lightest
barn door - middle
fired brick - darkest (main color)

scattered straw - lightest
barn door - middle (main color)
fired brick - darkest

The first one got a more intense red color in her hair, while the second girl got more of a pinkish tone - and you have probably already figured out why, but I'm doing to write it anyway - I've used two different colors as the main color.

This is why I love coloring this way - you have endless color combinations! You could add some aged mahogany or some brown for a different effect.

Happy coloring!

Baby album page 2 - a la vintage style

Hello!
This creation was a hard one to handle. The layout began with the color pink, which didn't quite fit. Then I gave up on it and started to make a card. When I began to make my card I remembered my lastest investment - Maja Design papers - and I got an idea. I tried my idea - cut some papers and now I'm finished! What a detour!

Distress Markers from Tim Holtz and Ranger

Hello!

Lately I've been coloring a lot with my Distress Markers. I know I've said this before but I love them! This coloring technique fits me!

Below you'll find some results.

 Trying to do some blending

 The technique starts to set

Not too detailed - really fun to color - as well as the Lillybelle

I also want to share my hair coloring combo with you - even if you want to color from the brightest blonde to the darkest brunette - this combo is a winner!

scattered straw
mustard seed
wild honey
spiced marmelade
tea dye
vintage photo
walnut stain

If you don't like the most bright and intense colors you could just skip the color mustard seed and spiced marmelade.

To color the hair of my Gorjuss I've used black soot and pumice stone.

I'm trying to color some red hair - I'll get back to you on that!

Happy coloring!
